For the past term, we have been working on our self portraits. This year it has been really interesting and pretty fun. This year's topic is decades. You split the paper in half. (I mean draw a line in the middle, not cut the paper). One side is a photo of yourself, but on the other side... we draw a picture of ourselves in any decade. We have 1 practice  drawing. For the real one, we drew an outline of our photo on one side of the paper.  And around it, we drew simple patterns. Next  we drew our 2000's or lower form. After that we colored that side. We also dyed the background. Everyone's portrait is really cool. Everyone is almost finished. I have finished mine. Here is a photo.

summer learning journey activity 3

Today I will be doing the summer learning journey activity three.  this activity is about team players.  this is what the website says:

Imagine that you could be a superhero for a day. What three superpowers would you most like to have?On your blog, please list the three superpowers, tell us why you have chosen each one, and tell us what you are going to do with them.

My super power would be being able to shape shift. Because then when I play basketball with my friends I can just turn into the tallest person on earth and will keep on getting the ball in the hoop. Or I would like to have the power to turn invisible or turn things invisible. Because I can pretend I am sleeping and just turn invisible  and just get my I-pad and play brawl stars. So those are the powers I would like to have. Blog ya later!!

Well, I am Korean and I am a christian which means I believe in God. At my house almost every day I eat rice. In Korea this is my name:

지후 which spells Jihu. Korea is part of Asia. There is a south and a north Korea. Korea made the car brand Hyundai, KIA, Ssangyong and Renault Samsung. Those are facts about my culture.

summer learning journey activity one

Hi bloggers! Today I am going to blog about summer learning journey because today the summer learning journey is live! This is day one.

Imagine that you were invited to join Nainoa for three weeks at sea. You are asked to pack your own food. List 10 food items that you could take on the trip. Remember you will not have a fridge or freezer! 

If I was on the canoe I would take canned baked beans, pizza,fruit,vegetables so I stay healthy,some meat like chicken,some chocolate,bread,rice,water and chips.
so those are the ten food items that I would take.

Hello bloggers! Today I'm going to blog about the Summer Learning Journey because Megan from the Summer Learning Journey is going to come into Te Waka Ako.  If you didn't know what summer learning journey is,  it is a free digital literacy program for students. 

This is my first activity. This is what the website says: Imagine that Donald Trump called you up and asked for your opinion about building this wall.On your blog, please tell us what you think about his plan to build a wall between the USA and Mexico. Is it a good idea or a bad idea? Why? 

My answer: it depends how high it is but if it is really high, I would probably say it is a bad idea because it could block foreigners that want to explore USA and pilots that don't know that the wall is there. And Mexico and USA will probably get into a fight and I don't want a world 3.

swimming.

Hi bloggers! Lately we have been swimming at the school pool for the past
 two weeks. sometimes we have lessons and sometimes we have free time. I like free time  the most. Me and my friends play shark. Shark is basically underwater tag. We usually have thirty minutes of swimming which is long but I wish that it was one hour. But i think it is actually pretty fun (even if it's a lesson). The thing that I like the most about lessons are races. But for some reason my team always comes last! The best way to escape the shark (the person who is in) is to swim over to the corner and duck down and hold your breath then they cant see you. But anyways I think swimming is really (any kind of swimming ) is really fun.
